  1. Hello there,

It's good to see you've got an audition for a television show, but please, the first step to the audition is the mindset and you need to remember these things:

Your not guaranteed to get the part

You have to be %100 on form for the audition saying "I can do better" won't do anything.

Also remember that the people auditioning you will have seen or will be seeing many more and that makes your time to impress them very very short indeed. I suggest googling 'Monologues' or something to that effect into google so you can find a good Monologue (Or dialogue) for yourself.

Remember when your picking a monologue, try picking one that suits the character your auditioning for, for example if it's a comedy part do a comedy monologue  or if it's a serious drama go for a heart wrenching tragedy of a monologue.

    Remember this when your acting.

There is NO audience, that means no fourth wall when your acting, as soon as you establish a 4th wall your audition is useless, you don't act to the audience you act to whoever your acting with.

Subtle, your not on stage, your movements don't need to be exxagerated, they need to be realistic!

Good luck with your audition, and remember!

Learn your monologue perfectly, back to front, upside down and inside out! If you dont have to worry about the lines then you can focus on the acting, and thats what gives you parts!

    Good Luck =]

    Alex

  2. When you go into an audition you will read a script for them. This could be one they give you on the day or one that you have practiced from home.i usally have done poems in auditions. These can be things like the man from snowy river, My country, Double double and so many more. have a look at this website

    http://www.monologuearchive.com/

it has some great dialogues/monolouges on it. I sugest you choose something from the comic section as if you make your judges laugh or grab there attention some how they will be impressed. Good luck with your audition!

  3. Find a monologue that you can do. They have whole books of  monologues full of great ones for kids which I assume you are.

  4. Just be yourself. Remember auditions do not judge if you are good or bad, but if you fit in the role they are looking for (that may be anything, including what you cannot do). Relax!
