I am 22 yrs old and living in Singapore.. Me myself, hard to believe that my family members are still over protective towards me.. They often like ask me like 'why are u going out & why are u late & etc'.. Come on, i am living in home... i am not staying in some army camp right.. :(.. Sometime i really don't know what should i do.. I try explaining to them & always end up me losing the conversation.. I really don't know what should i do now... Please advise me on this...

  1. Your parents love you and worry. Thats what parents do. It won't last forever so don't worry. They can't control your life but they care that you may make mistakes and want to protect you. Reassure them they can trust you then don't s***w up!

  2. you need to get serious with them, sit down with them and give them a piece of your mind, not a conversation, YOU talk to them.

dont be soft, be confident and adult

afterwards say something like: "thats what i think and how i want to be treated, if youre not willing to treat me like an adult and respect my privacy and choices i guess you dont have any respect or love for me"

  3. Well you have an option, get your own space.

  4. if you're 22 and you are LIVING  with them,it means you should be ready to accept any kind of restriction.you should find your own place I guess
