What should i do over the summer holidays?

im going in to year 11 in september so i thought i could do something to help me prepare but im not sure what, can you suggest anything? i don't just want to do that cuz i will be bored , what other things do you suggest i could do?

i think you should just give yourself a break from school stuff. just do things you like to do and relax ..for a while. although i want to get a part time job and earn some money for the summer, i think thats a pretty good idea, it'll help if i could get one though :/

yea i agree with traveling and charity work. It will look good on your resume for jobs and college applications.

(To colleges, grades are about 65%. The other 35% is life experience, so try to make alot of it)

Ex: Travel Abroad, volunteer at red cross, aquariums, swimming lessons, soup kitchens, internships..etc.

If you can't find anybody to play with then play with.........

Take a break from studies for most of the holiday and follow up any pastimes, hobbies, interesting pursuits you have on the "back burner".

However if there is a "weak" vital subject which relates to your hoped future career then spend say, 10 hours each week, not on revision but background research in the library or via Google(do keep printed copies for the future!)

travel.  if you need something to help you prepare for college or to improve a resume look into getting an internship/job/educational program in another country.  You'll get to travel which is always a ton of fun, plus besides being able ot list your job/program or whatever you can talk in interviews or write a personal statement later about learning new cultures and traveling the world.

Charity work? You'll get a lot of experience of life's ups & downs!

And you will, at least, make the world a slightly better place!
