okay, so i am currently on a very good club volleyball team.

but everyone is a year younger than i am, and they have been playing together for 5 years, and i have been on the team for a year or so, and i dont get as much playing time, becuase they have been together so long. but the team is really good, and the coach is amazing. another issue is that we practice a half hour away from where i live. and i just dont feel like i belong with my team, i am like the new kid, and they all are already best friends.

but i got an offer from a club volleyball team in the city where i live, and i already know most of the girls that would be on my team. but they aren't as good as the team i am currently on, and the coach isn't a pro volleyball player like my coach is. but it would be nice practicing closer to home, and being on a team with my friends.

  1. it all depends on your passion for the sport. are you playing because its fun, are you playing because you are serious about it and you want to make it to a pro team?? if you playing it for serious reasons i would stick with the harder team. you will learn more if your coach is a profecional and she will most likely work you harder. with the whole friends situation, try to join in a conversation once in a while and try not to exclude youself.

if you play just because its fun then i would go to the team in the city where you live. a) because you know most of the girls that would be on the team, and b) because its closer and you'de save gas. if its something that your just looking to have a good time with then it souldnt matter how good your team is as long as your having fun!!

  2. get mad so that u play better and spike harder

  3. If you think that you will go far in the sport stay with the good club. If you don' think you willg o far havew fun with the people you know. My reason is that if you are not going to go far may aswell play more now.

  4. I agree with what the users above said, it depends on your intentions as a volleyball player - are you going to continue to play after this year or are you playing for fun?

I think you also have to decide if playing time is an issue. If you intend to play volleyball at the next level, then you would need a good amount of playing time so that scouts can watch you play and get a good idea of your abilities. I mean you are paying alot of money to play club so I think you should get your money's worth and play alot. So if this is a concern, then I would choose the team that is closer to home where you will get more playing time.

If you want to sacrifice playing time for being on a good team with a really good coach, then you should stick with the very good team. If you do choose this one then you should try and work hard to get more playing time. Talk to the coach, ask him what you can do to get to play more. Tell him you are interested in playing at the next level and I am sure he will gladly give you advice and coaching that you need.

Another thing, don't worry about the girls on the very good team. They are just teammates, they don't have to be your best friends. It's nice to associate yourself with them, but you don't have to do everything together. It may seem like a big deal, but it really is not.

I hope this helps and feel free to e-mail me if you need any more advice / help.

  5. you want to get as good as you can as volleyball, so stay with the better team!!!! dont push away good advice!!! if you play volleyball you aim for the best opportunities and you have to take it!!!!! talk to the other girls! and you should be able to become friends!! just remember to be nice and enthusiastic towards them and maybe they will be that way back to you!

    hope i could help! : )

  6. To save gas money I would go to the closer one
