What should i do to get through airport security faster?

Question

im going to newyork for the summer.

i want to know what i shjould pack and not pack to take on the plan.

what should i not bring in my carryon back that will slow my time and NOT BE STUIPD (like a gun or coke)

i havent been on a plan for like 2 years and i hate to wait.

And also will the x-ray ruin my ipod touch?

Arrive early and make sure you don't take any liquids with you. Also be sure to wear a belt that won't set off the alarm. Make sure your shoes are off and you put your wallet and cellphone along with change into your carry-on bag. If you have a laptop make sure there is some battery just incase you need to turn it on. Also take it out and put it into a bin.

I always scout out the place before I go through security so I can pick the shortest line. If i see kids or inexperienced travelers I will go to a lane that looks to go faster. Oh and be sure to have your ID and boarding pass in hand to show the inspector and after you pass through security.

As for your ipod touch, I would talk to your airline carrier about how to store it your carry-on.
