  1. Try different types of milk - i.e. skim, 2%, whole, etc. I know its suggested kids drink whole until they're two, and its because of the calcium, but they can get it in other forms. There are veggies, eggs?, and fruits and juices they can get calcium from.

You can also try soy milk.

My daughter's DR, when she wouldn't drink milk, suggested trying to flavor the milk. Either buying it flavored or adding flavor. Mixing 2% and whole. Soy milk and flavored soy milk.

I don't think its something you should particularly worry about so much, if none of those work. Just focus on trying to get other forms of calcium in your baby.

Also, keep in mind its a statistic that baby try things about 15 times before they decide they like it (or not).

  2. Give it to your baby first thing in the morning, before breakfast or any other drink.  Hopefully, baby will decide to try it because it is what is offered.  If too much time has passed, feed him/her.  Try again the next morning.  This is how I got mine to drink milk, apple juice, and now soy milk.  It may take a while (like weeks) so be patient and persistent.

  3. ummm without more info all i can suggest is use a cup

  4. Humans don't need cow's milk...breastmilk, yes...cow's milk..no. :-) Recent studies have shown that cow's milk is not necessary in a human's diet. Americans have a diet rich in dairy products which lead to many health problems. You can get calcium from green leafy veggies and beans also :-)

  5. You could use different flavorings like chocolate or strawberry syrup. You could also try getting a special new sippy cup that he/she picks out at the store for milk only. You could get one of those twisty straws. If none of these work, my pediatrician said that as long as they are getting enough calcium and vitamin D in their diet, milk really isn't that necessary. Try yogurt or string cheese.

  6. Try giving chocolate or strawberry milk  :)
