light clothes, walk slowly, carry safe bottled water with you (backpack)(and continually sip at it so you won't get dehydraged), don't waste your money so you'll have money for the things you need, stay under trees and rest more frequently.  If there is such a thing as a personal battery fan and you find that useful then that's good.  If when at home you can put a towel or towelet or even a bag of peas in a plastic bag in the freezer or frig for a while to use on your forehead or back of the neck to cool you off then do that.
