What should i do to keep my hair from getting poofy when i straighten it?

my hairs pretty of long and veryyyyy thick and naturally wavy. whenever i straighten it it stays straight for about an hour and then it starts to get reallyy frizzy and it poofs out. i need some advice on what to do to keep it from getting poofy.

  1. you can buy a defrizz product. its an oil that you only put a dab and it will look silky and it wont get frizzy. dont worry, my hair is exactlly the same and i use that and it tottally works.


  2. mousse / gel works great.

    I have really thick hair and my hair does that as well.

    Just put mousse in it and straighten over it.

    Or gel.

    Also TresEmme Frizz control works =]

  3. before you straighten put some leave in conditioner in. Then use hairspray. Only a light mist so its not hard =]


  4. After you straighten it, rub some pomade in it. Pomade works so well and its only like five bucks at wal-mart. It will make your hair stay straight and keep it from going frizzy at all!
