  1. K Germany has some great ideas!!!!.......... FIRST play in college b/c you learn a TON, it puts you on a totally different playing level, you get more connections in polo, and Olympic coaches have ppl watching college games.......... after that my advise is to look on the USA polo website and contact coaches, players, ANYBODY you can!!!! and DO NOT give up!!!!! eventually it will pay off.......... GOOD LUCK my friend i'll be watchin for you in future years

  2. Well, the USA olympic water polo committee invites a number of players to tryouts every four years.  Of those players, a certain number is kept for the training roster.  Of those, a smaller number is selected to travel to tournaments.  No offense, but if you haven't been invited to the tryouts for the team, you probably aren't good enough to make it.  If you're still in high school, try out for your local zone team, that's where most players begin to get national recognition.  USA water polo picks players from the zone teams to make the junior national team.  If you're a college player, start making a name for yourself and hope to get invited.

  3. Tons and tons of windsprints/ suicides. daily. Until you have to barf

Weight lift until your bench press is up to 250lbs. Spuats at least 350lbs.

Weight lifting is very important cause you have to be able to float and swim and tackle in the water without touching the bottom.

    Swim laps daily.

Eat healthy, extra weight pulls you down.

Do you live in Califorina? If not, you probably don't know how good you are compared to the rest of elite waterpolers. My dad played at USC. Your work ethic is key.
