  1. A picture of it will never convince a cop that it was yours. Simply because u could have borrowed the chain and took a picture of it or something like that.

You really need to talk to your "friend" and find out why she did it. But DO NOT flip out because you will not get anywhere with her by doing that.

    hope i helped!

  2. Secure your jewelry and get a new friend.

  3. If it's been returned, lock it up better, and get new friends. A photo probably won't convince the police.

  4. with friend like that who needs enemies make a police report!!!

  5. Keep checking your "friend" and see if she is wearing it! Then ask her where SHE bought it! If you have jewelry in 22K, I would definately have had it insured.  If you have a homewoners policy, does that cover all the contents of your home, and did you ever make a list of those items!?  Sounds like she needed money, then later bought it back! Maybe you should ask her if she had had a financial problem, a little while ago! And say, if you needed money, I could have lent you some! See would she says, and watch her reaction!! She might just fess up to you. Then you might get the piece back!

  6. Hello Liz,

To be sure.... this is not a friend but a thief... unless you have thieves for friends.

You have the choice to make for yourself..  You either confront this person and demand your jewelry back.   You just let it go and forget the whole incident.  You contact the police with the proof your jewelry has been stolen and by whom.   You will have further proof that she does have it by the pawn shop that gave this person a loan.  They have her driver's license and contact information.

I think you can retrieve it... but you better do it soon, as most jewelry is not specifically marked with a serial number or other means to identify it.  If she takes it to another pawn shop you can consider it lost to you.

    Thanks for reading.

Best of luck to you    ----   and choose better people as your friends.
