What should i do with crawfish shells?

what should i do with the craw fish shells i eat the all the time and i was thing i could do more with them insted of just throwing them away

  1. You can save them up in your freezer in a bag or container. When you have a pound or two, you can put them in a stock pot, cover with water and boil gently for about 20 minutes. Let cool, strain and discard the shells. You can either use the broth for a seafood stew or soup right away or store the broth in bags and freeze for later use in sauces etc.

    You can also do the same with shrimp shells.


  2. Just throw them out. Crawfish shells really have no use to humans

  3. Crayfish shells are full of calcium. You could dry them and grind them for placing around where you might feed birds or feed them to chickens if you have any around.  

  4. I think the trash is probably the best place for them.  If they have salt in them or on them they will kill plants so using them for mulch is out.
