  1. hdbsdhcs i cant wait til our week! lol i think we should get hats that have like you know the braided pony tails things on the side and we should braide that into our hair...ha idk. make my answer the best answer so i get points! =)

  2. I have really long hair.  It almost reaches my butt when it is down.

I put it in a ponytail using two hair thingies at the same place so that  they stay in place, but i dont overly tighten them.  I try to keep it tucked into my jacket when skiing,  but sometimes it comes out.

On colder days when I wear my neck warmer, I wear it so that my hair is under it and it holds it in place better and my hair never comes out when I do that.

Any hat will be fine. I always wear a helmet.  Wear a hat, not a headband, unless it is a really warm and sunny day with no wind (over 35 degrees if you're used to the cold) and you get hot easily. You lose a lot of heat from your head and a hat will keep your whole body warm, while a head band only keeps your ears warm.

  3. Check out "Glen Plake" on Youtube.

  4. Get a doo rag.

  5. jim w, unless you're a hippie I'm guessing you've never had really long hair. where on earth is hair going to get caught in machinery? on a lift?  a snow gun perhaps? oh, a snow cat.. that must be it. I will concede that when i used to teach on a revolving ramp hair was a huge issue. you could get caught in the rollers if you fell, but we're talking a big piece of carpet rolling around in a circle pretty quickly. I've skiied for 39 years with really long hair and never, not once did i trip on it, get it caught in a ski machinery of any kind ( ok, the keg tap, maybe)   they make hats with pony tail holes. you really need to pull it back because if you get going fast that hair can whip around and wack you good and  it does hurt.

  6. When riding a lift your hair should not be loose outside your clothes, it could get caught in the machinery and you loose a chunk of it.  Wear any hat you like, or a head band, but keep your long hair under your coat or jacket on the lifts.  Hats are quite popular and necessary in the cold weather, headbands in the spring, also consider a helmet.

  7. I ski alot and my hair is to my waist. I wear a regular knit ski hat and goggles. I tie my hair with several hair ties (9) spaced evenly the length of my ponytail. The first tie is a regular sized one, the rest are small ones. My hair stays out of the way and no tangling. If it is too warm for a hat, I wear a do-rag.

  8. I always put a pony tail in and tuck my hair into a hoodie.  With my luck I would get my long hair stuck or something on the chair.  I ski a ton and don't like to have anything hanging off me that could get hung up anywhere.

  9. haha i was just thinking glen plake but he beat me to it...

  10. My wife puts in a ponytail and she wears 180 ear muffs with speakers built in that she plugs into her IPOD

They sound awesome and are warm too !
