  1. Don't take the furry creature because they are not used to severe weather changes. This could be quite harmful. I say you Clean her cage before you leave. Leave her plenty of food and water and put the cage in a room temperature area. This way she will be in good conditions when you come back....

  2. Do you trust your brother to look after the hamster properly ?

You should ideally leave them at home with someone that you can trust, ideally elder relatives.

  3. Leave her with him.

Taking her camping is far more irresponsible than leaving her with your brother.

Just make sure she has a bottle FULL of water and a bowl full of food- if he forgets to feed her, she should be fine if you make sure everything's full.

Where you live means nothing, though I am in the UK too.

Just make sure you clean her out right before you go and leave food and water, and remind your brother NICELY before you go, okay? That's all you can do. You're putting her at more risk taking her there.

  4. You could take her, as long as the tent isn't likely to get too hot and you are careful to ensure she doesn't get out.  The only other alternative is to leave her with a reliable friend, or put her into small animal boarding whilst you're away, or arrange for a petsitter to come into your home.  If you're away for a weekend only, then you will be ok to leave her with plenty of food and water with just your brother checking on her.

  5. Here are your options:

    1) leave with brother.

I would, its far safer than a camping place, and you wont have the burden of having to check its O>K and everything. PLus it may be too cold at the campsite for it, and a change of environment may startle it.

    2) Take it.

There is no good reason for taking it, other than the fact you know how its doing. I wouldn't take this option.

    3) Don't go camping.

I think this may actually be the best idea, especially for the hamster. You never know, it may be raining anyway, and wouldn't you rather be in a warm, cosy house?

    4) Leave the hamster with a reliable friend or neighbour

GO FOR 4!!!!!!! It removes the stress of explaining to fellow campers why you are carrying a hamster around with you, and you know it will be safe.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  6. It depends, if you can trust him to look after your hamster then leave it.

If not, and your camp allows pets then take it.

Or you can leave your hamster with a friend you can trust, or some pet shops will look after your hamster while your away for a small cost.

    Have fun!

  7. get a friend to take care of her- the bugs might hurt her at camp.

  8. why don't you ask a friend , a neighbour or another familly member to babysit her ?

if you do leave her with your bother clean her cage before you go and make sure there is plenty of water like law l said

  9. DONT take your hamster camping. There are plenty of animals out there who would love to eat your hamster. i recently went campig and left mine at home. if you dont trust your brother, then ask a friend. :)

  10. take the hamster with you, i'm sure it would enoy a spot of fishing or eating roasted marshmallows over a fire

  11. How long are you away for? It's be better for your hammy to stay at home.

  12. If your going for a week or less leave her where she is, just make sure she has plenty food and phone your brother and tell him to fill the water bottle up, keep pestering him and he'll do it eventually..

If you're going for longer you could leave her with a friend or other relative, i leave mine with my grandad.

Oh and BTW i understand about irresponsible brothers i left my hamster with my 18 year old brother and he forgot to fill up her bottle and she nearly died, he also managed to do it again a few months later, silly or what!! Cost a fortune in vets bills, but it was worth it...

  13. bury it

  14. Leave her camping is not really for hamsters the sun cud hurt it or sum bugs might. Leave it. All u have to do is clean the cage and put a lot of water and food thats what i did with my panda bearhamster mix and ha was just fine! Hey good luck i love camping!

  15. DO NOT TAKE HER~!!!!  She could get sick or hurt or eaten!  Ask a responsible friend to check on her or babysit her.  Otherwise ask your brother if he would mind just checking tos= see that she has food and clean water.
