What should i do with my tragus piercing?

i have an infection in my ear canal, now my tragus piercing is infected and it quite swollen and is covering some of the ball that screws on at the front. i saw a doctor and he advised to take it out. what should i do? its really painful but i love the piercing.

  1. take it out!...you can always get it pierced again once the infection is gone


  2. well mine was infected really badly and i didnt take it out( my docotor told me to, but i didnt =) ) and now its completely fine a looks norma soo  

  3. you should go back to where you got it pierced and ask what their opinion is, that's what they're there for.

  4. If you dont take it out, the scar tissue will build up and look really bad anyways. So if you wont love the piercing anymore.

    Just get it redone when it heals.

  5. Take it out then get it repierced.

  6. You probably need to take it out but i'd advice to go see your piercer. Your doctor has advised you what is best in his opinion but while probably being a good doctor knows little about piercings beyond they are wounds. the guy who did the piercing will know a bit better what is best- but its probably not worth the risk to your ears for the sake of a hole- it can always be put back at a later date hun.
