  1. Nawww, dont' kill it, my friend had a goldfish that had the same problem, he ended up losing his eye and lived a long fulfilled fishy life. Ugly lil, thing, but interesting.

  2. Well if its acting fine I wouldn't kill it. It it starts to act weird and not eat then I would "put it down"

  3. A popped blood vessel is nothing to get worked up about. It's just recovering from the trauma, as the pop-eye might've been pretty severe in this case.

Keep treating the fish for pop-eye for a few more days to make sure.

Treat the fish with some medicinal fish food with added vitamins (preferably vitamin A) for a week or two. Lower the amount of light coming into your aquarium as well, as pop-eye makes it hard for the fish to see and can cause blindness.

  4. as long as it is acting normal it should be fine, if other fish start to peck at it, then try to seperate it until it heals. if it does seem to start to suffer and swim weird, like face down belly up ect. then put it in a smal container of water and place it in the freezer, it will go to sleep and die without suffering anymore
