  1. Well, Day before:

Whole wheat pasta with Sauce or Olive-oil, 2 % Milk, Whole Wheat Roll.

Wake up an hour before warm up. Drink a gatorade. When u get too the pool, warm up, and then havea half of a bagle.

Swim race, then have other half of bagle and  fruit.

  2. Thats a great pre-swim meal - not too heavy but good nutrience and substance. The night before, I generally load up on carbs - think italian. Pastas, breads, that sort of thing. Start storing that energy. That day don't eat anything too big, and keep it mild. gatorade is good, but remember your good old run-of-the-mill water too!

I'd keep the candy bars to a mimimum. Chocolate can actually be good on very short sprints, but anything more than a 100 i would avoid the chocolate. The 'kick' it gives you will last a 50 or 100, but no more than that.

    Good luck!!

  3. thats more of a after warm up meal

the night before, load up on carbs and protein, maybe steak and pasta?

and on the day of the meet, have a protein bar, gatorade, and bananas

  4. night before---lots and lots of carbs. (pasta!)

    before a race---gatorade.

like 15 min before my races i chew the starbucks double shot gum...the caffine gives you a shot of energy perfect for a race...
