  1. Avoid gum for sure.

  2. i got brances like a month ago...i had the same prob.. try eating soft foods... bananas, yogurt ect. drink alot and brush ur teeth alot... the 2nd day is the worst... so get pre made food.. after the 4th day ull be find.. good luck and just remember after they take em off ull have perfect teeth ( the inside of ur mouth will hurt from ur braces scraping against the skin in ur mouth.. so it'll hurt alot the first 3 days.. but u;ll get use to them... an if u play sports.. USE  MOUTH GAURD... i learned the hard way and dont slep on ur side either... it hurtsalot)

  3. anything, just brish your teeth afterward.. :)

  4. Well, your teeth are going to be very sore the first few days, so you should stick to soft foods.

Eat oatmeal for breakfast...it's soft and it's hot so it might actually make your mouth feel a little better.

For lunch...you could probably handle a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, pudding, jello, applesauce, or yogurt.

When I first got my braces on I went and tried to eat a hamburger at dinner...big mistake! It took so long and it was painful..haha.

So stick to soft, easy to chew foods for the first few days!

    Good luck!

  5. i had barces and i ate watever i wanted lol

  6. braces. poor child i know those things are painful. for breakfast you could have some cereal, avoid the ones with marshmallows. lunch you could pack a sandwich, may want to avoid peanut butter though.  maybe your mom could get you a lunchable, those are pretty good.

  7. I recommend at the beginning, when you first install your braces that you eat softer foods, like soup or mashed potatoes. Something that doesn't require as much chewing. However, if you are fine with eating regularly, and the tightened feeling doesn't bother you, anything is fine. However, do not eat gum [for fear of it accidentally pulling your brackets or wire off], popcorn is alright, except the shell of the kernals may become lodged between your teeth or between your gum, making it extremely difficult to remove. Apples and other harder fruits should be diced. Carrots should be cooks so that they are soft. Broccoli is not recommended during your braces experience. Do not chew on ice or the tip of your pencil/pen. Hard candies are alright once in a while as long as you brush and floss scrutinizingly, but do not bite on it. You may only allow it to dissolve. Soft candies are not recommended [like gum]. Any type of sodas is discouraged unless you brush and floss scrutinizingly [like hard candies].

You could probably eat oatmeal, as unappealing as it sounds, but it's soft.  Soft bread is good, that's what I had for breakfast when I had braces, but toast is bad.

You could bring soup from home in a thermos or some type of container.  My friend used to eat mashed potatoes brought from home.

It doesn't matter what you eat if it doesn't bother you.  However, do avoid the foods I mentioned above.

    Good luck!!

I hope this helped a bit.

  8. Didn't you already make a question like this?

Just no chips or gum. You can drink soda.

    Quote from my friend:

"You can drink soda, just don't chug a six pack every night."

  9. You can usually eat anything that's not chewy or sticky.

    -Applesauce

    -Yogurt

    -Potatoes

    -Jello

    -Ice cream

    -Rice/rice pudding

    -Dairy products

    -Jelly sandwiches

    -Fruit

    -Cooked veggies

    -Oatmeal

You should eat softer foods a few days after you get your braces on. Once you get more used to it then you can start eating normally. Ask the doctor who puts on your braces for a list of foods you can eat. They usually have brochures and information to take home and read. You can also google it.
