What should i except for my first mani/pedi?

im going to get my first manicure and pedicure

what do they do for both? then for both do you pick out colors or what? and what do you say if you want a french manicure but without fake nails? and whats a good color for your toes? and how much do you tip them? how long does it totally takes?

Well, i think that how long it takes depends on where you go, but normally about 30-45 minutes. And you get to pick the colors and the design that you would like, and if you want a french mani/pedi, then just tell the people. But normally if you just say french manicure they wont give you fake nails.

For a pedicure they massage your feet and scrub them with stuff and it tickles! They also put your feet in the little hott tub thingy :) and of course they paint your nails!

Good! Every woman should indulge herself once in a while.  It depends where you are getting this. If its a fancy salon, they will sit you in a comfy chair, and they will probably ask you to soak your feet in warm water.  During this time they will be doing your nails.  When you arrive, there is a section where you pick your color(s).  It is your choice in color.  If you want a french manicure, just say, may i have a french manicure, but no fake nails.  Thanks.  A good color for toes is like a light breathy pink.  You usually tip them about 3-5 dollars per 20 dollars.  So if it comes to 80 then you will tip them about 12 dollars.  They will give you an envelope and you put the money in, and don't forget her/his name because you must write their name on the envelope.  And...don't worry.  A salon is for relaxation, no need to fret.  And it takes about 40mins to 2 hours

for a manicure, they'll get rid of dead skin around your cuticles and buff your nails and paint them.  for a pedicure, you'll put your feet in a footbath and they'll scrub off the dead skin on the bottom of your feet.  then they'll paint the nails.  that's about it.  of course you get to pick out your colors!  and tell them you want a french manicure.  they won't give you fake nails unless you ask for it.  any color is good for your toes.  i don't like getting french on my toes because they chip easily and are harder to fix.  tip as much as you think is appropriate.  it might take an hour, maybe less, depending on how many customers they have.

i tip 5 They call your name when its your turn then you sit down say I want french on my hands and toes or what ever color you want if you want to keep them the same lenght just tell them to file not cut or tell them just keep it clean It takes about 40 mintues for both of them at my place I just tell them on my toes to give me the color of the week or what ever color most people are doing now

manicures and pedicures are really fun:)

well usually, u can ask for a spa pedicure where u usually sit in a chair that massages and you get to put your feet in a little hot tub, and they do all the trimming and stuff for your feet and then they put lotion on ur feet and massage them. i personally like the spa pedicure more.

if u ask for a regular pedicure they just trim your nails and paint them.

manicures, they will just trim and fix up your nails then paint them.

you get to pick out your colors and they have variety of colors.

you just tell them you want an american french manicre.

its very fun! Makes you feel very pampered! You can pick out what colors you want. Just tell them you want a french manicure but not acrylics. Color is totally up to you and what you like.It usually takes about and hour and a half or two hours.

sometimes if you say u want a mani and pedi you can get like 5 dollars off or something

they do mani and pedi at the same time at some places

to im guessing around 20 minutes

and just say for your mani that you want french tips. sometimes its extra $$ though

they wont put fake nails on unless you say that you want acrylics

tip them each about $5-$8. thats what i do

just pic out a color for your toes and they have the everything you need for french tips

pink is a nice color but if ur tomboy i like black too....for toes only
