What should i expect on the 1st day of high school?

Lessons.

No seriously:  You'll make friends, and soon learn who the idiots are; and to stay away from them.

Don't sweat it.

You'll be surrounded by a bunch of kids in your grade who are just as nervous as you.

The hallways are a lot more crowded than in middle school. Be agressive, but don't be a jerk. This is something Freshmen are always terrible at, which is why Upperclassmen like to use the Freshmen hallway, because they're easily trampled.

Bring your schedule, a map, and your locker combo with you. Trust me, you'll need them.

Unless you know for a fact that you'll need certain things for certain classes on the first day, don't bring anymore than absolutely necessary. A notebook and something to write with is about it. Oh, and maybe a folder.

Beyond that, it's pretty simple.

before i went to high school for my first day. they told me that there was a tradition at my school. that the seniors would always harm the freshman on the first day.

when i went the first day. there wasn't a single senior on my back, because of my aggressiveness. if you are aggressive. then you won't get hassled. but don't be aggressive just for no reason. only when someone is doing something to you.

be friendly, and join clubs and organizations. if you do then you will make tons of friends. be friendly and introduce yourself to anybody that looks lonely.

and high school is very different from middle school so there is going to be way more people. a lot more crowded halls. you will make tons of new friends. but also tons of new enemies. so watch out. but if you do everything right. there is really nothing to be afraid of.
