  1. Wow! A 20 gallon tank. Think about this, every 3 inches a fish is, equals a gallon. So you could have about... 9 mollies. Don't go over that otherwise it would be crowded.

    Here's a tip. If you get males and females they're bound to mate. When they do you'll get millions of babies swimming around the tank. Mommy and daddy will even eat them so keep them away. Wjen the babies are old enough you'll probably come to this question: where should I put them? The pet stores in your area will take them so don't worry. Just wait till they are roughly a few weeks to a month old. Feed them tetra food or algea flakes (those are what mine eat.).

  2. Mollies thrive on troical fish flakes and a once a week treat of bloodworms or brineshrimp. Ok, there are 4 main body types . The reguler molly, the lyretail molly the baloon molly and the sailfin molly. Here is what they look like.

    Normal- http://www.bbayaquariums.com/black-molly...

    Lyretail-http://www.dkimages.com/discover/preview...

    Baloon- http://www.cheapfish.co.uk/gold%20balloo...

    Sailfin- http://www.petpig.com/fish/fish/Molly-Sa...

    There are MANY colors of mollys, black, white, damlation, red, orange, silver, and many more I can't think of off the top of my head!lol! In a 20 gallon tank I would say 12 mollys, 3 of each type. 1 male and 2 females of each type. It is good to have more females than males so the males will not always chase the same female, the females need a break from the males  mating dance 24/7! If there are not more males than females he could chase the female to death. Or you could also get all amles and you will not have to deal woth baby fishes! If your females do have fry you can seaprate them into a breeding net and raise them and sell them to local fish stores. Or you can have lots of hideing spots and let the fittest fry survive. I prefer to separate the fry and raise them. Good luck with your tank!

    Also, you might want to cycle it with only males because the females will most likey be prego when you buy them and when the fry are born they will not survive the cycling process. Males have a pointed anal fin and females have a fan shaped one.

    Good luck!=)

  3. If you tank is going to have only mollies, you can probobly get about 12 mollies...but you may want to get a little less because you are going to have A LOT of babies. MOllies give birth to live babies, so there are no eggs. They are easy to breed.

    Just feed them normal flake food for tropical fish.

    there are a lot of different breeds of mollies, I am sure you can find one on google. There are baloon, Lyretail , and more!
