  1. go to the grocery store and get oranges lettuce and carrots that is really healthy and your Ginnie pig will love you!!!!!

    :)

  2. cheeseburger? hahaha, sorry, just tring to cheer you up.  silly, i know. :-D

  3. They can survive perfectly fine on hay (or grass) and green vegetables (not lettuce) untill you get more pellets.

You should feed both of the above daily even when you do get more pellets.

As a treat they can have more colourful veggies and some fruit (but not potatoes, tomatoes or citrus fruit).

  4. I'm hoping that pellets are not the normal thing that you feed your guinea pig. Their main diet should be hay, 24/7 they should have hay. Pellets twice a day and veggies 2-3 times a day. If you have a lawn that you don't have sprayed with anything, I'd just go get a bunch of it and give it to him for tonight until you can get to the store.

Iceberg lettuce is fine also, for one night or for a snack but it isn't fine for a main part of the diet.

  5. veggies:

    green leaf lettuce

    carrots

    parsley (not italian)

    cucumber

    spinach

    romaine lettuce

    NEVER iceberg lettuce

  6. Veggies and hay.

www.guineapigcages.com can tell you more about what veggies to feed.

Timothy hay is the preferred type, but any type will do.

If you cant get hay, get pesticide free and chemical free grass.

  7. well you can feed them on fruit and veg which they can eat make sure they can eat the fruit and veg you give them by searching the internet or looking it up in a book about guinea pigs if you have one hope this helped so if it doesnt :)

  8. give it lots of vegetables... and they all love carrots. or if u have any timothy hay they love it too.. and giving them rabbit food shouldn't hurt either.. i mean it is one day.. l0l. :)

  9. I feed my guinea pig slices of apple, carrot, or I just give it a piece of lettuce. (You should not give your guinea pig iceberg lettuce. It is mostly water and has little to no nutritional value.)

  10. Sarah r is absolutely right BUT they can eat ice burg lettuce but its not good to feed them for nutrients cause its all water but if they are dehydrated or something then its ok,but not as just the only food they will die but they can have it as a treat :) we gave it to our piggie all the time (along with her food) she lived to be 9 years old! anyways yea, carrots, dandelions (make sure ANY outside grasses you get come from your own back yard and it wasn't sprayed)

  11. do you feed him hay, friuts and veggies or a reguler basis, if not, now is a great time to start! You can feed him almost any veggie, just not potatoe skins, as those are poisonouse to gps. You have a more limited friut selection. Apples, bananas, a small ammount of orange is ok. Here is a good link about friuts andveggies gps can eat- http://www.mgpr.org/MGPR/Guinea%20Pig%20...

Also, hay keeps their teeth from becoming overgrown and is something they need to eat EVERY day! Good luck with your pig!=)
