  1. For your bottom feeders I feed mine wardles shrimp pellets formula and for the top dwellers I feed mine tetra min flake food, tetra blood worms and tetra baby shrimp, can you tell I'm a tetra kinda gal??? Just feed the blood worms and shrimp 2-3 times a week and they LOVE it!!

  2. Flake fish food is a good staple fish food, but they should get the occasional protein-rich treat as well.  I recommend blood worms or brine shrimp or daphnia.  Frozen or freeze dried versions are probably the readiest available.  Hikari is probably the easiest brand to find.  I believe that PetSmart carries this.  Here is a picture of what the containers look like:

Your snail will also enjoy an occasional bit of fresh veggie, such as zucchini or romaine lettuce.  Fresh or dried dill weed is also very high in calcium and will help your snail build and maintain a strong shell if your water doesn't have a high PH.

Once a month or so, you might want to give your fish the mushed up inside of a frozen, steamed or boiled green pea.  This is not only good for them and a favorite treat of most fish but also helps aid their digestion and prevents constipation, which can lead to swim bladder problems.
