  1. They can eat lettuce, and other types of veggies cut up into tiny pieces, my turtles love minnows and baby shrimp and krill as well. some people give their turtles live food, as i do, but wih babies they shouldnt have to chase their food yet, as some dont know how, so i would feed them dead minnows or even goldfish, until they're older and can catch their food. Lots of different things, but turtles need a varied diet high in protein to keep them healthy. So make sure they get some veggies as well as fish, or hatchling formula if they are babies, and turtle sticks, or pellets if they're small. Good luck.

  2. Each turtle has his own preferences of food, and you have to find out what each prefers. The best thing to do is try small pieces of meat, try fish and beef. The beef should be cooked, the fish should be raw. Put a small piece on the end of something (maybe a black plastic knife) and move it in front of the turtle. Usually, it will bite at whatever meat it prefers.

Once the turtle gets a bit larger and stronger, you can start giving it turtle food. Make sure to purchase the kind designed for aquatic turtles. Do NOT feed them only the pellets, they won't get the nutrition they need! Release at least a dozen small guppies into the bowl. You'll know it has figured out the whole hunting thing when those guppies start magically dissappearing.

    I hope this helps!

  3. They can eat a variety of meat and fish, as well as some plants materials.  Don't forget they need really large tanks, heat lamps, UVB lighting, etc.  Here's a good link on them and diet info:

  4. Minnows, live.

  5. Earthworms, fishes (not goldfish), and soft-bodied insects. When you can't get live food, try liver dusted in bonemeal. Adults will accept dark green leafy vegetables.
