well i dont have any racing experiance but im bout to try to go at it. i love the power band on a 2 stroke and the torque on a 4.

so for my first real bike what should i get. i want a 2 stroke but i herd the break down alot and cost more than a 4 to fix.

since they stopped making two strokes i dont know if in the later days if ill be able to buy parts. and i dont have alot of money to to keep rebuilding things. but dont know what cost more to fix

  1. depends what your more into

125 has more torque and accel

and the 250 just had more speed but its not as crazy

  2. If you intend to race then I would go for a 4 stroke 250cc as in most cases the 125cc 2 strokes race against the 250cc 4 strokes and are usually outclassed by them, with of course the occasional really good rider managing to be up there with the 4 strokes.  The 250's usually make it of the start grid a bit quicker than the 125's and are faster down the straights.

  3. A 250F is going to be better but cost more to buy and a two stroke doesn't break down alot maybe less than a four stroke all my friends say their little play around two strokes are easier to maintain fixing wise it depends on what part your fixing sometimes a two stroke will cost more sometimes a four stroke

  4. They haven't stopped making 2 strokes but the 125's probably won't be around much longer so that should be enough to answer your question. The 250F is far superior to the 125 in every way.

  5. it really depends on you if you are looking for speed you should really go for the two stroke, but if u want torque then you should go with a fourstroke.

  6. I am getting a cr125 they both are good bikes
