What should i get for my hamster?

Question

so far i have a 25,30,or 35 gallon tank for him. i have a tank because i use to have gerbils but they died so now i have 1 hamster. i gave her a wheel but she doesn't even use it so im gunna return it also i have 2 balls that they run in she uses 1 of them and im gunna return the other 1, then im gunna get her a bath house cause i have the bath powder but forgot to get the house -.- lol well any suggestions? my dad made her a wooden home that has 2 entrances and thats where she usually sleeps and i gave her some cardboard tubes to run in im thinking about getting some more hiding places for her to enjoy since the tank is so big all help is wanted and appreciated.

Do NOT return your wheel, you may not think she doesn't use it. But she may only use it while you are sleeping. Hamsters are nocturnal.

A bath house isn't necessary. You can fill up a plastic ashtray with chinchilla SAND (not dust/powder) and make sure to remove it from the cage when she isn't using it.

Do not return the wheel back. The wheel is a necesscity in every hamster cage. She might not be using it when you are around but hamsters are very active at night when the house is dark and silent and that time, they definitely will exercise on the wheel.

You do not need to get a bath house for the sand. You can use any ceramic dish to put the sand. The dish should have a 1 inch thick layer of sand for the hamster to roll about.

Give her a variety of toys to play with. By toys, I do not mean the expensive ones you get in pet shops. Your hammy would be equally or more happy with inane things like empty toilet toll tubes, toothpaste cartons with flaps cut off or even hollowed out plastic balls (non toxic plastic should be used). I even remove the base of Starbucks coffee cups to make simple tunnels for my hamsters.

DON'T return the wheel. its really important for a hamster to have a wheel - it's excercise and it relieves stress. it probably runs on it when ur asleep, or when ur not around.

They Get Bored Easily So Try To Keep Things Up=]

you can get your hamster lots of toys like plastic tunnels, plastic wheels (the best are ones that don't have any holes in it where the hamster runs around)

for your hamster you can also buy treats and wooden mazes for them to play in, you can get these from a garden centre  or pet store who both offer loads of other toys for your hamster, you can get salt licks to and gnawing blocks for there teeth to.
