What should i get my daughter for her 1st birthday?

well im only 19 and i have a beautiful daughter and she turns 1 year on august 21st. i love my daughter but i dont get to see her as often as i would like to but i wanna get her sumthing that will last and that she'll play with even till shes 2 or 3. either way watever suggestions i might get the 1st thing im gettin is 1 of those kiddy stocks in dreamworks or toys r us. so please any suggestions i'll be grateful for

See wha she likes. Does she like bright colors, or calm colors? Does she enjoy playing with things that make noise? Would she try to go for something educational? Like a colorful book... maybe a box of simpliest crayons to get her started on her sensorimotor skills! :)

I'm 19 too, but I don't have children. I do work with children however, (I'm a teacher) so I know a lot about child and adolescent development.

P.S. Yes, you can become a teacher at 19 with all degrees and credentials. If you work hard, anything is possible. :)

Something like this......I was given a few of these pieces and my grandkids played with them till about 5yrs old, then they wanted the bigger sets.

I would get her some of those leap frog games they have all types based on age ranges and stuff they are great toys and they help with talking and reading they are great. you can also get her a picture of you in a locket so she can have that for ever

I got mine those little riding toys that they could ride and push.  It lasted a few years.  My daughter loved it on her first birthday she pushed it first then she got on it and drove it all over the house till I think she was 2 1/2.   I think I found it at Walmart, but they have them at other places.

How about this, she would love it. If that does not sound like a good idea you could always get a gift card to a toy store or take her to pick out what she seems to like. Good Luck!

We got this for my kids, 1 and 2.5 and they both love it!  So she will like it now and for years to come.
