  1. laid, laid is always good

  2. I was going to get my teachers advil- but that's probably a bad idea. Yummy baked goods are always welcome, but if she's an elder lady, she might enjoy a cookbook, gardening tools, or a painting kit. Or something she collects- my grandma collected bird houses. Either of these would be good, but i would definitley go for the baked goods. Always appreciated, regardless of age.

  3. As a preschool teacher I enjoy receiving gift cards to book stores tucked away in a favorite children's book.  Another favorite is a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure-a day of pampering is always appreciated!  Coffee mugs and Christmas ornaments are not usually a good idea if the teacher has been teaching for awhile-they do accumulate through the years and I can't throw anything out.

  4. This is not very unique but a Visa giftcard is nice. The teacher can spend it anywhere on anything. Chocolates are cool, too. (most people like chocolate). A picture frame or an ornament fine, too. Sometimes a little nick-nack will have a saying or a picture that has to do with teachers or teaching. And finally, the classic, a bookstore giftcard.  Good luck!!

  5. Something for ur instructo'rs home.My mom is a preschool teacher for Merryhill and she bought the instructor a little fountain and a crystal. The more you by your instructor good stuff, the more nicer they'll by to you!

  6. gift cards are great for teachers llike for Borders or Amazon or any place that you would like to shop~

  7. A nice pin with a prechool theme.

You know like a piece of jewelry thing.

Maybe just a toy or a teddy bear of a Christmas themed one will be nice.  It is getting late.

  8. a nice book

  9. Since nice gifts are expensive, a group of parents should get together and chip in for a gift certificate so the teacher can choose whatever she likes.  She would love it!  As a NYC teacher, I am yet to receive a gift that I can actually use. Most of the gifts that I receive are either dollar store finds, used or recycled.  I donate most of the gifts I receive to a nursing home or shelter because I can find no use for them.  How nice it would be to select a gift that i would certainly use and remember as a token of my students for that year. I do understand that many do not have the means to buy gifts, however, chipping in 2 or 3 dollars multiplied by 22 students would really be a nice gesture.

  10. My gut instinct is to get her a one way ticket to Maui, Tahiti, or some other peaceful and exotic island.  But, since she can't go and must continue to work with an age group similar in personality and action to those of rabid racoons, I would suggest a gift certificate to a nice local spa for a mani/pedi, or if you are feeling extra generous, a massage!!!

  11. Pen and pencil set.

  12. a candle, a box of candy, bath stuff (shower gel, lotion, slippers, mesh sponge, etc) make cookies with your kids and give on a pretty platter.  give any one of these or combine them in a basket.
