  1. Just keep giving her her normal food, aslong as it has lots of needed nutrients. Make sure she always has accsess to fresh water. You should also give her some uncooked normal oats about once a week. Give her fresh fruits and veggies(no citrus). When the babies are born, do NOT TOUCH THEM, it will leave your scent on the babies, causing the mother to eat them.=( Good Luck!

  2. Hamster food and the occasional fruit and vegtables.

That's all. Just the standard hamster diet, to be honest.

  3. Your hamster food would be good, also getting extra vitamin drops for her water if you don't already have them, just make sure you replace thewater EVERY day with the drops, those willmake sure she has all of the essential vetamins she needs for new babies (simce hamsters pick out thier favorite foods in the food mix we give them :P ),also one yogurt treat a day will help insure that shehad enough calcium for her new babies. Other than this just supplement her diet with the occasional apple piece or carrot or whatever other fruit or veggie you normally give her.

    Hope this helps!

Baby hamsters are SO much fun, just make sure you separate the boys from the girls as soon as you can!

    Oh somebaby tips:

Let the mother's nest be, She will clean it, you just supply something like toilet paper, and she will shred it up like there is no tomorrow!

And after she had the babies, let them be until they are old enough to walk around. Then you can hold them, butnot much as they will still be young and fragile. But the human contact will be good.

Take the father out and any other hamsters that may be with the momma, if she gets too stressed she will eat her babies, or another hamster might.

    Good luck!

  4. Normal food is best, as well as fresh water.  Changing her diet too fast will result in her getting sick, or she'll stop eating for awhile.  So sticking to what you have now is best.

When she makes her nest, she should do her business outside of it.  So clean AROUND the nest.  DO NOT touch the nest.  She'll abandon it and make a new one.  When she has baby hamsters, don't touch them.  She'll either eat them or disown them (refuse to care for them).

Also, if you have a male in the cage, you should put him in a different cage.  Sometimes after baby hamsters are born the male can show aggression to the incoming baby males.  Also, he'll mate with the baby girls.  Since they're first born or even when they're a little older, this isn't really all that good for them to be inbreeding.

So yeah, don't handle the baby hamsters until they are weaned so that the mother doesn't disown them and//or kill them.  Make sure you clean around the nest (just the corner she pees in should be fine unless you want to clean up certain spots elsewhere in the cage).  Fresh food and water is essential, but not anymore than on a regular basis.

Give her lots of peace and quiet.  She should be in a room that is typically quiet and doesn't have people coming in and out of it throughout the day.  This will stress the hamster and cause unnecessary complications at worst.  Your room should be fine.

If you have any questions, please contact me.  I would love to help.  ^^

  5. dont touch the babies. dont.

anyway, feed her hard boiled egg, salt free cheese, and other high protien stuff. you might want to add vitadrops to her water. add this stuff to her regular diet of packaged food.
