  1. Many many many people in life don't know what they want to be when they go to college. I know countless people who still don't know. What you can do in the mean time is go talk to a college councelor and have them help you a bit. Tell them what you like to do and what brings you joy. They can then give you ideas and if your still not sure ask them what basic gen-eds you will need for the different ones you are interested in (such as english 101, math, etc) and then you can atleast get those out of the way while you figure out what you want to be.

If you have the opportunity to go to college you should do it. Many places require a 2 - 4 year degree of some sorts to get your foot in the door.

  2. I would recommend getting a degree in something that will keep your options open, but won't be a useless degree.

I got a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy - and obviously, it is only good if you want to practice occupational therapy - which you can't do unless you have a Masters. Point being - it is a very narrow and useless degree unless it is a Masters.

I would recommend something in business - maybe Business Management or something similar. With a degree like this - you'll have a lot of options open to you no matter where you end up, and it'll give you an advantage in almost any private sector employer.

I'd recommend staying away from degrees like Philosophy, or Latin - interesting material, but what use will it be once you get out of college? Maybe only as a Latin or Philosophy professor.

Also stay away from degrees that are so broad that they are useless - like Liberal Arts. Sure, the curriculum might be easier, but you'll be headed for a factory job after graduation.

  3. Join the Border Patrol. Starting salary of 33k up to 70k in 3 years.

  4. We can't answer this for you. You need to figure this out yourself. It's your life, choose your own path.

Maybe college isn't even right for you.
