What should i pack for my swim meet?

  1. food options- gatorade, propel, water, vitamin water, almonds, nuts, protein bars, pretzels, rasins, rice cakes, NO DAIRY PRODUCTS(5 hours before)

    hair care- swim caps(extra in case one breaks), hair brush, chlorine removal shampoo and conditioner, hair ties.

    towels, swim suit, goggles, sunglasses, sun screen-- if meets or pratices are outdoors, ipod, cell phone to entertain you while you wait.

Water, Gatorade, 2 pairs of goggles, you swim suit, 2 towels (one to wrap up in after swimming, and another to use to dry off after wards), healthy snacks, a swim cap, shampoo and conditioner if you plan to swim, sunscreen & shade (if it's an outdoor meet), and probably a chair to sit on between your events.

  6. I always had two or three swim suits, so I could change and wait for my next event in a dry suit. You'll stay warmer and feel less clammy, especially if your meet is indoors. I liked to have a lot of dry towels, too. For outdoor meets, you need to have a pair of sunglasses to wear while waiting around. Also, metallicized goggles will cut down the glare when you're swimming outdoors. Stay hydrated throughout the day.
