What should i plant?

I'm in Alabama, and I'd like to plant a little garden with some vegetables in it. What should i plant in late summer/early fall?

It's getting awfully late for a garden now.  Maybe bush beans, not pole beans, beets, leafy greens.  You can also set in starts of broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts,  kale (tho that might work from seed too) as they tolerate colder weather of late autumn......and actually taste better harvested in cool weather.

Many people say that pumkins are fun to plant, but, along with squash and gords, they dont always turn out well and take a while to grow. U cant eat it (so forget about 100% home-made pumpkin pie this Thanksgiving) but they do make a good decoration...

I would simply recomend that you plant veggies like tomatoes and peppers, or fruits such as clementine (cuties) oranges for simple produce you can enjoy! Happy Harvest!
