Question:

What should i practice to get better in ballet?

i am great at preformances and OK at everything in class but i want to be good at the majority of stuff in class the only reason my tetcher put me in th advanced pointe/ballet is because i smile and try hard but i want to be good on top of all of that when i see her this september P.S i am 14 and want to be a profeshanl ballerina,that's what i was put on the earth for!!!!!!!!!

  1. The only way to get better is to keep practicing. You need to find out what your weaknesses are and work on them. However that being said, if your teacher only put you on pointe because you smile, you need to find a new studio right now.

    Possibly look for another studio to dance at as well.

    If you want to do at home training, take a look at the Ballet Bible (http://www.balletinfo.com/) it does cost money (I think it was $50) but it has some good information, and gives examples of lots of moves.

    Little things can be improvement on posture, turnout, strengthening ankles, etc.

    Also check out dance.net which has ballet boards, filled with lots of information


  2. U should practice Yoga.It keeps your body flexed and keeps all your muscle in tune.
