I would suggest you to go for a good branch if you really want to utilize what you will learn in future since you always will have oppertunity to get better college for your higer degrees. The present trend with the companies recruiting the engineers is that they offer the works of nature which has nothing to do with your knowledge. Personally im against to join a company where I would not be judged by my knowledge but by my capacity to work blindly. Now If you are concerned with the job of any sort after your degree then also go for good branch because a fine college will fetch you the same job as a very good college because your training is not going to make much difference.

In nutshell Im always with a good branch with fine college.
