What should i put in my room for a beach theam?

Start by choosing a color scheme for your wall.  For a beach theme, I would do blue or beige, but a green could also coordinate.  You could also consider doing each wall in a different color, such as white on one wall, beige on the wall opposite it, and light green on one wall and blue on the wall opposite it.

You can do the mural on one wall, like another user suggested.  If you do not have a projector, there are often places you can rent one from. There are also stores that sell mural wallpaper.  If you can not or do not want to do the mural, pictures with beach themes are easy to find.  Cut them out of magazines and frame them.  Display some books in your room with island/waterfall scenes, dolphins, lighthouses, etc.

Beige colored carpet can appear like sand.

Wicker furniture would work well.  Get a lifeguard style chair, hang a life preserver on the wall (you could even use it as a photo frame), display some shelves in a shadow box, get a large beachball print beanbag chair, put up a bookshelf styled like a surfboard, etc.  Also consider a noise machine to make wave sounds.

You could set your bed up like a cabana, with curtains closing it off.  You could make a "changing room" as well, using curtains or a screen.

I would do the walls and floor first, and then work from there, adding things as I find them and can afford them.  Try PBTeen.com for ideas (they have a free catalog), and check out FreeCycle and Craigslist for items.

Do a mural on the wall of a beach scene or a lighthouse. It’s really easy even if you’re not an artist. Just find a photo you like (or google one), project it on the wall and trace. It’s a fun project and cheap!
