I have two Kicker L5 10" 450 rms each 2 ohm in a ported kicker box. I am running a mono 1000 watt Kicker amp, 2 ohm 1000 watts rms. What should i set my gain at and the crossover so it sounds the cleanest.

 1. If it was my system, I'd not have the bass boost on at all, I'd have the crossover set no higher then 80 hz, probably closer to 50 hz, but you'll need some strong mids that can play down that low, so you should probably stick with 80 hz. And the gain needs to be set in accordance with your head unit. So there's no way anybody on here can tell you where to set your gain. You'll have to determine that on your own. There are plenty of how tos out there if you google setting amplifier gains or something similar.

 2. Not sure about the gain, but set crossover to about 200hz

 3. First of all, without knowing which L5 subs you have(kicker makes 3 L5 solo-baric 10" subs 2 have dual 4 ohm voice coils and 1 has dual 2 ohm )i'll assume that 2 ohms is both 4 ohm voicecoils on each sub connected in paralel making each one a 2 ohm sub, next concern should be using 1 mono amp that is stable at 2 ohms with 2 subs, you will have to wire the subs in paralell, which would make the effective resistance 1 ohm, which i have yet to see a kicker amp remain stable at, i would suggest using 2 mono amps (1 for each sub)because if you wire the subs in series, it would make the resistance 4 ohms, which defeats the purpose of using an amp thats stable at 2 ohms. Aside from that, with those subs, your crossover should be set no higher than 100 hz, the gain should be 70% or less(100% being all the way up) and bass boost is up to you, its usually only about 12 db gain, it will vary with type of music you listen to whether you want it on or not. Hope that helps

 4. The crossover all depends on the size and type of box you have. But the gain you have to tune and play with it so you can get the best sounds and most power without it sounding distorted. If you have a scope you can easily do that.

 5. turn it up, listen, and tune it so its not distorting and sounds the best
