What should i spend my extra money on?

Question

I have £300 to spend, and three things that i need to buy, but cant decide between them. Your wonderful opinions are greatly appreciated!

1. New table and chairs for dining room, we currently have a crappy glass top table with flimsy chairs from Ikea

2. Tile the bathroom, its currently carpeted which I hate to no end

3. A sofa bed or bed and mattress for when my parents and Mother in Law come to visit us from Australia in November and January.

THE BATHROOM- carpeted bathrooms are gross and could become unhealthy.like if toilet overflows!

If u Need a sofa bed or mattressI'mim sure u can save some money for that later on since november and january is a couple of month away, so u have plenty of time to get some money together for the bed or mattress:) !

So if I was you, I'd tile the bathroom:)

well you have a table and chairs already!  do you need to upgrade now?  or can that wait?

carpet in the bathroom yucky!  that does suck.. but i don't think it's a high priority just for a bit of yuckyness!  

the bed seems more reasonable!  you have guest coming in and you have nothing for them to sleep on!  winner!!!  is #3

i would tile the bathroom.it will bring your house value up.and you will get that out of the way.you could always get a second hand table and chair's for much cheaper at a second hand store or look in the paper under articles for sale same as the sofa bed you can find one of those for 50 dollars some were if you look hard enough.

I would prioritise the bed as if you don't do it now while you have the money you may panic a bit nearer the time... and we all know we don't need that extra stress around the christmas period!  After that I'd go for table and chair as comfortable and pleasant dining is a must both for yourself and when you have guests, you'll be proud to have dinner parties if you have a fabulous dining area!

Save your money and join Freecycle!!  I am always seeing dining room chairs and tables on there.  I even see brand new unopened boxes of tiling and wood flooring.  We got a huge flat screen tv from it (they had moved to a smaller flat and the tv was too big) and our couch, box freezer, spare room divan bed WITH mattress (brand new I might add) toys, a laptop that was broken and turns out my husband fixed it in 3 minutes flat!  I even got a brand new ladies mtn bike (the woman that gave it away was gifted by someone she had broke up with and wanted no reminders of him.)
