What should i take to class on the first day? - college?

just what basic things i will need to have for my first day of class...please and thank you :)

I just take a planner, notebook and pen to the first day. They usually only go over the syllabus and maybe a few notes.

Take at least one notebook, pen, a folder to keep all the papers you might get in order and some loose leaf just in case they give you a "random" hand-in assignment.

Pen, Pencil, Paper, THe book for the course if you have it, planner (agenda).

Paper, pens, and an open mind ready to learn..it is not much difference than high school, but remember you have responsibities to do your homework on time, because you are now an adult and more will be asked of you! Otherwise, think of this as the best time of your life-because it is!

well i usually take a notebook for every class of that day, and a pen. in my college usually the first day is syllibus day and we dont do anything.

Check your school e-mail address before you go to class. Sometimes teachers want you to read and print the syllabus ahead of time or bring certain things the first day. That's not very common for lower-divison or general courses in my experience though.

Do take:

a notebook, writing utensil, planner, your textbooks, a print-out of your schedule (when and where your classes are), campus map if you're not familiar with campus

Don't take:

cell phone, laptop

First days are really relaxed so it shouldn't be anything too bad. You'll probably go over the syllabus and get out early. Good luck! :)
