  1. tell him you don't want to run any more whats he gonna do make you run?

  2. The best excuses are injuries just say something hurts or aches coaches never want to overwork an injury or make it worse. Worked all the time for me during basketball season

  3. Was in same boat in HS.

Track & field did not have any support in a football/ baseball world back then.

Wanted to sprint,& was interested in javelin. but coaches ( phys ed teachers)  just filled in time w/ laps & smoked cigarettes while we got winded.

No technique training , no nothing...just lace up the canvas high tops & run around until he got his pension.

    Clubs were non existent.

Got very discouraged & quit., but would not if I were you.

I would have a long talk w/ the coach & see what he can do to keep you in the program.

If he's just a hack...not much you can do.

Love your sport?, consider a club w/ real trainers.

Give it some thought before you pull the plug .

Sounds like you are in high school w/ some good abilities .

    College will be better.

Often wonder how I might have done w/ a real coach & to be fair, more desire on my part.

    Best regards
