What should i use for a background in model horse showing?

Basically I've been thinking i want to do some photo showing and I'm not sure on what I should use as a background. Should I use something from the internet or can I buy something specially made?

Why not shoot your own backgrounds, then when you shoot the models, superimpose the model onto the background.
