Question:

What should i use for bait in a saltwater shrimp trap?

after some looking up i see a "bait ball" recipe.

fishmeal/cornmeal/flour, either one and mix with mud to form a patty?

anybody else have any tips?

  1. Some of the local bait shops sell shrimp and prawn pellets for traps. Add the pellets to a container with holes in the lid. I have also poked holes in canned cat food and put them in my traps(seafood flavored). Fish heads and parts will work as well. I don't like using the fish parts because it seems to trap allot more things then shrimp. 40yr exp
