  1. Oh I can totally relate! I've only had mine for a couple years, but I understand what you mean. In personal experience, I've found that backcombing just the roots helps a lot. I generally try avoiding any backcombing now (not too good for mature dreads, ya know...) but getting your hair to dread as close to your scalp as possible strengthens the roots and thickens them instead of just leaving strands of hair to support the weight of a dread.

If you're looking for a product, I'm sorry I can't really help you there! But good luck with 'em.

and to the obnoxious "cut them off" type commentary... really? are you so ignorant and set in your ways that you feel the need to make such (completely unhelpful) obnoxious comments?

  2. dreads on girls are gross. cut that S**t off hippie

  3. Hmmm... i don't know

  4. coconut oil.  from root to end.  closest to your own natural scalp oil as possible.

avoid products with dimethicone or anything that ends in "cone" have silicone in them, which is great for shine but causes hair to become extremely brittle.  if you have a hard time finding products without the silicone derivatives, check VO5 products or some product that are manufactured by spanish companies.

  5. you should use aphogee it a protein treatment line that helps repair damaged hair..its really good and worth it. Its at sally's beauty
