  1. If it is on the edge, take it to a shop and have them fix it properly... if it's in the middle of your board and shallow, you shouldn't really notice it. Someone mentioned P-tex.. that'll work fine.

I have about a 2-inch gouge in mine on the edge and I took my board to some fly by night place and he just filled it in with wax and now I can always feel my board pull that way. I'm too lazy to fix it... so if you don't want this problem... make sure you get it done right.

  2. you can get some stuff at ur local shop that you melt into the gouge, then scrape off the excess.

  3. If it's a shallow gouge, you can fill it in with a P-Tex gun or ad P-Tex candle.

If it is a deep gouge, and you can see either metal, fiberglass, or wood, that's a core shot. You'll need a copolymer filler to cover that, and then cover that layer with P-Tex.

Tognar has great tutorials as well as all the supplies you'd need to do a proper repair. http://www.tognar.com/base_repair_tools_...

If you're feeling less than confident though, I'd suggest you take it to the shop and have it professionally done though. Good luck.

  4. simple. just get a P-Tex was stick, hold it above the lighter, then drip it into your gouge and it will fill it up. then just get your wax scrapper and smooth it out.
