Question:

What should i use to waterproof my satellite cabling?

i am putting a satellite dish up soon. i know how to align the dish, etc, but what kind of tape...etc...or waterproof gunk should i use for:

the coaxial to lnb

and

to seal the hole i'm going to drill in the wall for the coaxial to go through to the tv inside the house?

You need to make a drip loop, basically you should make the cable lower than the hole, then bring it back up and through the hole in a u shape, that way any water coming down the cable will drip off the bottom of the "U" You can put some silicon sealant roud the cable entry if you want but it's not necessary.

    Oh Yeah for the LNB tape you need Self Amalgamating Tape

  5. I have been installing dishes for a long time and what I use a sealing tape used in industrial refrigeration setups. I don't know the trade name but I will describe it. It's black and about 2 inches wide it's tar based and very sticky but very pliable so it can be formed around all of the cable connections and it won't let any moisture in.
