  1. That Johnson's baby shampoo that is like tear free just wash them really good after you use it

  2. If you MUST bathe your piggie (not advisable unless dirty), use shampoo labeled for use with "small animals". It can be found in any pet supply store & is relatively inexpensive.

Do not use cat, dog, puppy, kitten, or human baby shampoo. Even these are too harsh for a guinea pig's sensitive skin.

  3. Baby shampoo is to harsh for their skin, puppy shampoo is also, if you can find small animal shampoo that is best, if not kitten shampoo will also work. I use kitten shampoo because shipping to bet small animal shampoo is to expensive. You only need to bathe a guinea pig if they get VERY dirty, because bathing them stresses them very much and increases the chance of catching a sickness.

  4. any type of small animal shampoo, put the guineapig in a sink bucket, in around 1.5 inches of luke warm water, the guineapig will instinctively lift it's head but if not just hold up his/her head and cup water over its back, don't wet further forward than hers/his ears. then rub in shampoo, don't touch the face. then rinse them the same as you wet them. then take your piggy out and put them in a towel till their fur is not dripping, then change the towel and gently rub them dry not too hard, untill they are pretty much dry.

  5. They have specialized critter shampoo at petstores its like critterclean or something of the other smells like baby powder.

Don't use human shampoo or body wash b/c,even if its for sensitive eyes, its still going to irritate their skin they have very strong allergies.

If need be you can use mild kitten shampoo or if they get fleas, ticks, or mites you can use the mild kittin flea shampoo.

Usually pigs clean themselves you won't have to for atleast a month unless his fecal matter gets in his hair or he just gets dirty from dirty cage.

But a good bath ever so often is a-okay.

  6. I wash my guinea pig with dog shampoo, the one that's gentle and tear free for sensitive skin. And her fur is silky soft after...hehe.

  7. You can use a small animal shampoo that is designed for animals like rabbits and guinea pigs.  If you have no other choice you can use a kitten shampoo (but not advised), but a small animal shampoo is preferable.

Never use human shampoos or soaps.  Also, never use a flea shampoo as they contain ingredients that are dangerous for guinea pigs.

  8. maby baby shampoo just wash him/her after with plenty of wah wah

  9. aww how cute! anyways, wash it with baby shampoo
