  1. Here are a list of things you should wear or not not wear to volleyball tryouts...

    1. DON'T WEAR JEWELRY. Okay, I didn't need to use all caps, but earrings and necklaces can get caught or if the ball is hit at you really hard, you can get injured. All the coaches I've known don't allow jewelrySome leagues also don't allow hair clips, but a small bobby pin should be alright.

    2. Knee pads pretty much mandatory. You will need to dig balls and dive, this will just make your life so much easier. If you are sure you want to be a defensive specialist (DS) or a libero, you definitely should have these as well as knee socks so that you don't get a floor burn from diving.

    3. I would recommend bringing two pairs of shoes: running and volleyball shoes. If you don't have volleyball shoes, that's fine. They are pretty expensive and unless you are on a really strict team, they won't require them. But if you have two pairs of athletic shoes, pick which one to wear on and which to wear off.

    4. The other stuff... Wear a loose T-shirt, like a school shirt. A trick I learned is that if you wear brighter colored shirts, the coaches will notice you more! Also, wear a comfortable bra, preferably a sports bra. As for bottoms, volleyball spandex would be best. They are usually pretty short and can be found at almost any sporting store. Of course, you will need these once you get on the team, but a pair of comfortable shorts will do just as well.

    Good luck!

  2. Knee pads aren't mandatory but they'll help if you tend to fall for balls. What I wear to practice everyday is basically a loose tshirt, sofee shorts, my knee pads, and my volleyball shoes. Also a sports bra helps.

  3. Well if you want to look like you know what you're doing, then I would suggest investing in a pair of spandex and some knee pads. Knee-pads aren't usually aren't a MUST (it depends on how old you are/your school's requirements) but they certainly help.

  4. basically a tee shirt or tank top, shorts, knee pads, and maybe some sweat bands.

But if you make the team then you will most likely get a uniform

HAVE FUN AND REMEMBER TO DRINK LOTSA WATTA ^_^

  5. First of all you NEED knee pads because if you're like my team you will be on the floor a lot!  You should wear a sports bra they are way better than a regular bra, you want to be comfortable and focused on the game.  Other than that you should wear shorts (doesn't matter what length, whatever you're comfortable with) and wear a t-shirt or a tank top, it depends on how hot it is and if you're gym is air conditioned.  Hope this helped!! good luck.

  6. Usually knee pads are required for you to practice, because of safety requirements and stuff at your school.

However, you're just really going to want them anyway so you don't bang up your knees.

You should wear spandex or soffe shorts that fit nicely and allow you to move around and are comfortable.

Wear any t-shirt that isn't a graphic t from hollister or something; wearing a school shirt or team shirt is a good thing to do.

Also wear knee socks, it makes you look more experienced.

    Good luck!
