  1. Where?  When?  How long?

  2. The weather/temperature will mandate the answer. In general; a helmet and a PFD. Warm weather: foot gear, long trousers and a long sleeved shirt. Cold weather; foot gear and a wet or dry suit. Forget wool! Your outer wear need be water repellent. Often rain gear may afford comfort. Hypothermia is to be avoided. Note what the guides are wearing!

  3. You should wear standard swimming attire to begin with. Quick dry shorts, bathing suit. Anything synthetic is acceptable for an upper layer(under armor,poly-pro). If it is going to be chilly take along a fleece jacket as well. If you are going with an outfitter they will have wetsuits and splash coats to put on over top of your other layers.
