What should i wear in D.C?

tomorrow i am going to D.C with my school. i know there is a chance of showers so it is probley going to be humid. its going to be in the lower 80s. we are taking a bus so i dont know if it is going to be cold on it. should i wear shorts and then take a light jacket or wear jearns?

I live in DC, It's hot and very humid. I would go with the shorts and light jacket for the bus.
