What should i wear to The Lion King?

I'm going to see the Lion King soon at the Lyceum theatre in London, Obviously the tickets were really expensive so I'm guessing I will have to look nice. What should i wear? Has anyone else ever been? What did you wear, was it causal or formal?

I saw it on Broadway, and the dress to Broadway plays has become a lot more casual over the past 10 years. The Lion King was full of kids in NY and since it's a Disney play I'm assuming it will be the same in London. Casual should be fine. By the way, The Lion King was the best play I've seen.

I suggest dressing somewhat formal. Since you're a girl (or a woman), wear a skirt and blouse instead of jeans and a t shirt. I saw the show on Broadway, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I hope you're ready to have a good time.  XD

Dress formal. Men in suits and women in dresses or other classy outfits (women have more options.) Obviously there are more people these days who are dressing casually to go out, but in some ways this detracts from the experience. There's no problem with going to the movies in your jeans, but for live performances like plays, dress up and treat the event as something more special than a regular night out.

I am an actress and I have been to several broadways. They are fantastic and extremly fun to watch and to act in. Generally people just dress up in well I guess I would say in a bit more casual formal wear. You don't want to look like you are going to a wedding but you also don't want to look like you're just going around town.  I would say nice dress pants or skirt, and then a nice matching top without any stains. Part of it depends on which performance you are seeing- Saturday night is the most formal, and a day performance is the most casual.  At Broadway shows there is definitely a range of attire...You can't go wrong with a dress...Jeans you might feel too underdressed, but anything above jeans should be fine.
