  1. A plain leotard in any color along with a relatively short (mid-thigh) skirt would be appropriate. Make sure the skirt is free flowing and does not restrict movement. Oh, and don't forget tights. Your leotard could have a variety of different straps including short, long, and spaghetti straps. Short sleeves would probably be the safe bet seeing as some studios have dress codes that noodle straps would violate. Color wise, black leotards and pink tights are the traditional choice. As for your hair, make sure it is all out of your face, including bangs. Hopefully you have ballet shoes. If not, bring a pair of thick socks or look into buying/borrowing shoes. Most importantly, don't wear anything that will interfere with your ballet. Your there to dance, not look good! Don't forget to wear a nice, big smile! Good luck.

  2. well on my first class i knew for ballet you need to have tights, leotard, and shorts but i wanted to wait for the first class just to make sure i didn't need anything else so i wore leggings, and regular tee shirt, and soffee shorts

  3. ok if you do not have a leotard or tights.

put on leggings and a tight shirt. most likely sleeveless.

but also make sure your pants are tight too. something you can move in easily. not jeans or such. possibly leggings.

and also put your hair in a neat ballet bun. if you don't know how to do one then look up on the internet. get all the whispy bits out of your face. if you can't possibly do one wear a ponytail. and then after class ask your teacher to help you teach how to do one.

oh and shoes. if you don't have ballet shoes don't wear any.

but if you do have a leotard and pink tights and ballet shoes wear that.

    hope that helps :)

  4. pink tights

    black leotard (cami)

ballet slippers (split sole leather are best usually)

some places allow you to wear cover shorts or chiffon skirts.

  5. Most dance studios prefer that you wear a black leotard with pink tights and pink ballet shoes. ALL ballet classes want you to wear yout hair in a neat bun, with no (long) flyaways. Some studios let you wear a loose fitting, ballet skirt made of a lightweight material that flows. I would check your dance studio to see if they have a certain dress code that you need to follow. Good Luck at your ballet class!

  6. Tights and leotard.  Many classes prefer black or pink leotard with pink tights.

  7. hair in a tight bun, black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers NOT POINTE SHOES

and some ballet schools let you wear ballet shirt and some don't so ask before you wear it this is a great place to get every thing you need http://www.discountdancesupply.com/
