What should i wear to my uncle funeral HELP

So I have this funeral I have to go to in salt lake. I have no idea what to wear. I thinking a nice black and white summer dress how does that sound. Idk i just need help!!

Black dress, low heeled shoes. Make sure your dress is not too revealing/short. Funerals are for paying our respects to the deceased.

Please do not wear anything that you would wear to a party, whether it is black or not.

What sort of person was your uncle? At a recent funeral a girl asked what should she wear, she wanted to wear purple as that was the favourite colour of the lady who had died. This was deemed totally appropriate.

If your dress is subtle, then by all means wear it, but if it stinks of floral happy summer or some such then look for something else.

your there to honor the life your uncle lived, it isnt a fashion show. where whatever you want, just look presentable. dress pants and a non revealing top.

Anything that's modest and somber--does NOT have to be all black.  Just nothing cut too low or too high or see-through or with sequins/ruffles (party dress type thing).  You're paying your respects so keep it subdued.  A black and white summer dress is fine.

Something black and simple. The summer dress sounds fine - it really is more about being there to honor him and support everyone that's there to do the same.
